The second amendment guarantees the right to a militia to guard against federal tyranny. But if a president can use that force against its own state, against the wishes of that state, then it is no militia at all and a clear violation of the second amendment.

So SCOTUS, who told us if we wanted to protect abortion, congress should pass a law or amendment to codify it. Well congress and LBJ codified the VRA. In 1965 passing both the house and senate to be signed into law. It has been amended, but it is legally the law of the land not whatever they choose.
