I apologize for coming off as aggressive, that was never my intention. I suppose I’ve just seen too many bad faith takes of the show and wanted to dispel what I perceived to be a possible misunderstanding.

That is quite literally the entire point of the story. That their relationship starts out as just sex and builds over a decade. They are male athletes in a conservative sport, of course it’s framed as taboo. Are you really basing an opinion of this show and characters on one episode?

I really think you need to step back and reevaluate your opinions on this show. It’s ok if you just don’t like it, but saying it’s fetishizes gay men is disrespectful. Why do you think that? Just because it shows gay sex? This show was made respectfully by queer people who are passionate about it.

It’s propaganda meant to divide us generationally. A distraction that many are falling for. Millennials are told that Gen Z thinks they’re lame so they attack Gen Z for being lame and vice versa. We should all be less insecure with our tastes and teach other that the real enemy is the government.
