Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. People are going to be arguing forever about whether this game is good or bad because it's entirely up to whether you're really into game design from mid-2010s sci-fi shooters. Terrible as a Metroid game but pretty good as like a Halo spinoff or something.

people really laid it heavy on the chatty engineer guy but the bigger problem in the first hour is reheated game design. scan a door and then shoot it in 4 places? slowly maneuver a door mechanism in a pattern??

THE HUNDRED LINE: LAST DEFENSE ACADEMY. This game has consumed 3 months of my life. All 100 endings, ~140 hours, all achievements. I cannot in good conscience say anything else is going to be GOTY for me.

Sorry to do this but just felt the need to chime in on the discourse to say that I stopped listening to this dude after the post on the right a few months ago. This is not someone with any kind of meaningful insight on video games imo.

Silent Hill F. Only one playthrough for now, might do more later to see other endings. After years of mediocre/bad entries I found this pretty refreshing but unfortunately it gave me Homecoming vibes in a bad way because there's *a ton* of combat that pads out the game
