Again, fair enough, but my complaint was more about their feigned surprise that “dark tourism” was so popular, given their editorial mode for headlines and story selection (mostly) favours the same human interest in the horrific and negative.

Any opportunity to throw people under the bus to save some money. He doesn’t have the guts to go ofter the rip off American pharmaceutical companies so instead he wants to stop people getting the prescriptions.

Why are you surprised? Human beings are fascinated by horror and atrocities—which also explains why media promotes bad news and doom scrolling. Just look in a mirror to find an explanation. When was the last time you ran a positive good news story as your front page article?

Makes me laugh how they can know there’s a $billion worth of fare evasion but did nothing to enforce it. Why couldn’t they use the methods of detection for enforcement if the problem was so rampant?
