It's not an Arts Council scheme/offering. It's managed/paid by O'Donovan's own department: the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media. Everyone seems to be endlessly confused by this.

I'm just a cat btw, so find all this a bit confusing. Any Dreamies for me (more to the point)? I like the cheese ones but will tolerate the salmon variety too.

True. But people keep saying AC are responsible for BIA and that it'll be cut as a punishment. It may well die, but it's not a scheme administered by them. Confusion arises because all 'arts' are lumped together as group bacteria! I'm sure PO'D will ditch BIA, he seems angry, and looks like a Burke.

The BIA is funded/paid to recipients by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, not the arts council. Small (big) thing to note as people seem to be relentlessly confused by this. It's nothing to do with the arts council!
