I think it was a FIFA requirement? I read the rules a few years ago and all pro soccer has to stop in a country when they’re hosting a World Cup. I assume that means men’s soccer, or else MLS will have to do the same in 2031.

I don’t Facebook often, when I initially set it up just after the 2011 World Cup I put “Brandi Carlisle” and “Women’s Soccer” as interests and haven’t really updated it since. I got back on FB last year to see some friend’s stuff and the algo is convinced I’m a lesbian. Not an issue, just lol.

If you commute an EV is a no-brainer. I signed up for time-based pricing with Evergy-Missouri West, so I pay $1.20 for 200 miles of range when I charge overnight. I put a laundry load in the dryer overnight for the same reason.

we charge our hyundai ioniq 5 around once every two to three weeks at a muncipal charger and i’d say it runs about $9 for 250 miles of range.

This is why I dislike the dearth of English language coverage of the Frauen Bundesliga. What to make of this 7-1 loss? Is it a massive but otherwise unexpected failure? a reflection of substantial upheaval at Bayern? The effects of a lack of investment in German women’s football?

Women’s Africa Cup of Nations just announced that their 2026 tournament has been expanded from 12 teams to 16 teams. Malawi faces Angola on Thursday, October 23rd at 10 a.m. Central and Tuesday, October 28th at 9 a.m. Central. Winner of the two-legged playoff qualifies for the tournament.
