Many people who follow me on CROSS (that's Japanese for 'X'), have likely seen these, but posting here for others. I compiled a series of Triple Bypass/3BP installation guides for every US revision of the Sega Genesis and have made them available on my github:

Sounds like something lost its ground reference and even having the 1Meg to ground restores it.

I use a photo of the board to do an approximate envelope, and then dial it in. But I’ll try your way next time 😅

This design is such a pain

I don’t pay attention, it usually just clamps it IIRC 😅

Depending on where you have your boards made (JLC?), I usually do a 0.6x0.6mm text size for my refdes. That's a good small size that's still fairly legible

Here's how it was done on the CDX, for what it's worth...

Got to use the new flex ribbons which made it super clean and fast, and as always, restored headphone audio and composite video 👍

I’m just hitting the ones I think are most worthwhile. Not likely I would want to do a flex for stuff like model 2 VA2, since those are fairly uncommon

Got several triple bypass installs in the queue and something cool on this first one…

The chance to try out @zaxour.bsky.social new flex ribbons! I’ve only done the RGB flex but I can already tell this will save a TON of time

New video! TurboNanza is a PC Engine/TurboGrafx/SuperGrafx mod that includes S-video that uses the same colors as composite, which are much better and very different from the RGB palette on these systems. With the RetroTINK 4K's Enhanced S-Video feature, it's near-RGB quality! youtu.be/05x7jujrB3U
