If you have a pollen allergy, it might be something like Oral Allergy Syndrome. When I discovered that unripe bananas don't make everyone's mouth sting my googling led me to that. Apparently pineapple also triggers this. It's basically your pollen allergy confusing fruit proteins for pollen.
