There was this paper where they made an AI-powered robot specifically designed to sort meds for Alzheimer patients. Patients were not happy with quality of sorting. It’s not good at either

its infuriating how the discourse on deepfakes focuses on political propoganda, while the majority of it is porn that targets women and girls. A while ago there was a case where an ex-boyfriend generated revenge porn, uploaded it, and woman lost her job, was receiving death threats, etc. Cool shit.

Do you remember Orwelian newspeak? It aimed for extreme simplification of vocabulary, so eventually people can’t describe their experiences or ideas - mind control. Yesterday, a student of mine told me how her generation struggles to express their thoughts in writing without ChatGPT. Scary.
