At least, that's what the godling Arawan believes, until she sees the surface for herself. I've put my collective Christmas cash gifts towards perhaps my nerdiest yet book additions by ordering the completely out of print Centauri Dawn series by Michael Ely, based on Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. I'm not sure how many other people in the world would appreciate my excitement, but I'm happy!

26th December 2026 - Warp, Rinse, Repeat - Julia Huni Surviving motherhood is hard enough—try doing it when the universe keeps hitting reset. Triana Moore thought pregnancy would be messy—but not this messy. Between malfunctioning baby simulators, her mother’s attempts to fire her (again), and a snarky “smart” house that refuses to learn her name, life on SK2 is already chaos.

8th December 2025 - The Lost Battleship - Vaughn Heppner The effort almost killed him, but Maddox temporarily closed the breach to an alien dimension, one where genetic supermen rule humanity as gods. The trouble is the master race’s Ninth Assault Fleet is still inside Commonwealth space—and destroying worlds with hellburner missiles. Without the hyper-spatial tubes of the smashed Nexuses, the Grand Fleet can’t jump straight to battle.

4YO, holding up a half eaten piece of apple: "This looks like a film".
Me: "Oh, which one?"
4YO: "You know the film with the green eyed fairy and then the purple one gives her real feet? It looks like that, doesn't it?"
Me, nodding wisely: "Yes."
