A couple of years after walking across a beach in Senegal that had previously been cleared of landmines, I got the chance to see a talk by MAG and respect their work.
It is atrocious that anyone would ever think that land mines are the answer to any question other than ‘what should we ban?’

Having come too close to losing my mum to a stroke last February it will be amazing to decorate their tree with her this week. The pink Christmas ornaments left from when they first got married and it was what they could afford go on the back of the tree but still have a place over 40 years later

As kids we had to have somewhat ‘religious’ advent calendars e.g. a nativity scene and the chocolate ones used to have Santa type scenes. I was frustrated, but now see where mum was coming from. It was the top of a slippery slope (and yes, as an adult, I do get a chocolate advent calendar)

I’m hoping my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy has the temperament for this - at the moment he is 7 months old and a teenager though so 🤷‍♀️

As she is saying this she stabs my finger to put a drop of blood on a point of care test for tetanus immunity. All it needs is a faint line. Nothing immediate so she sends me back to wait in the waiting room. When I get back in there is a tray with two needles. I had zero tetanus immunity. 2/3

I was in A&E (mine has a walk in centre) a few months back because puppy had broken skin when his tooth scraped my thumb as my hand and his jaw were not coordinated. The nurse practitioner is literally telling me how rare it is to need to give tetanus as most people have immunity. 1/3

I am seeing an attempt at hangman so I’m going to guess ‘t’ for the next letter

Usually my pup needs to poop about 9:30/10pm if he hasn’t it turns out this way:
Me: have a poo
Puppy: must catch that moth
Me: poo
Puppy: moth
Me: fine, bedtime
Puppy: Mooottthhh!
4am,
Puppy: poo
Me: fine
Puppy: play, breakfast, Morning!
Me: nap!

Just so you know these are appreciated, sometimes I click on one of these pictures and take a minute just to breathe.
