New to me car update! The big 6 has gone, replaced by the Red Rocket, a BMW 130i, tiny car, big engine, RWD. I’m hoping it’ll be a nice daily through the winter whilst the Z4 goes into hibernation.

Watching the sun set over Camposol, near Mazarron, Spain. My parents lived here for 14 years until my dad passed away 10 years ago this Christmas. It’s been ace showing my little man the place that my old man loved so much. I will always have a place in my heart for here.

I visited the Zeds not dead Z4 this morning and helped panel wipe the car and do some of the masking. The main body gets painted this afternoon hopefully. Can’t wait to get it back. It was weird seeing it with the paint so flat, I kind of liked it.

Parked next to a stunning Mercedes E-class Coupe, with front wheel and tyre like this. Makes my teeth itch!

Just back from our whistle stop trip to Inverness via @caledoniansleeper.bsky.social a Christmas present from the wife and one of the things on my bucket list.
Really enjoyable 32hrs from door to door, Chester, Crewe, Inverness, Crewe to Chester. Back to work tomorrow……

I made a new friend recently through the Z4, a fellow owner. He is well into retirement age but doesn’t want to stop. He has a lovely car body shop and picks and chooses his work, and with 50 years experience, his work is very good.
It’s really got my thinking about wanting to do something else

My first car related post is this, a stunning BMW 1M that was in my local BMW parts department this morning at Halliwell Jones, Chester. I was getting a door handle for the Big6.
