I’ve had this kind of thing happen several times with games on Steam that require non-Steam account authentication to the point where if it happens, I just log off. That’s it, I’m done. It’s not relaxing to sit there and fuss with it for 5, 10, or 15 minutes just to play a game.

I held this opinion until my coworker who has two special needs children told me about a trunk or treat event hosted by a group of families with special needs children that allowed kids to dress up and enjoy a low-stim environment. Definitely more of an exception, but I felt still worth mentioning.
