A neighbor drove by me yesterday in a somewhat modern "luxury" Mercedes sedan, and I realized quickly by the smell that it had a diesel engine.

Farmers banked on a bailout, just like they banked on Donald removing worker protections for H2A Visas for farm workers, so that when their undocumented labor was deported, Trump would make it easier to import slave labor to replace them.
That and they wanted estate tax cuts.

That's a lot of piss and vinegar that seemed to be in short supply during the Biden administration when Congresspeople like him were not spending the time and energy needed to spur Biden into acting against the MAGA insurrection leaders that are now back in power, and the object of his derision.

I don't disbelieve you, I don't even live in Texas, I'm just aware of how horrible the track record of the DNC has been going back to their decision for us that we needed a Clinton dynasty.
That said, congresspeople and wannabes often start their journey by trying to get the DNC's blessing.

This is a sick country, where the wealthiest hoard resources, buy their way into the government so that they can cut their own taxes even more, and rather than the government helping young families succeed, we have the occasional random stranger gift story to make us feel like this is all normal.
