I used to have a longer one that I'd shuffle, but I found that I needed a consistent shorter one instead. It's 27 mins, so if I'm still awake by While I Shovel The Snow it tells me I'm not doing enough to get sleepy. My lamp turns off automatically after 30 mins, so it dovetails nicely, too.

It's interesting how everyone has different needs wrt driving music! My dad needs loud, energetic music, but my partner gets stressed out by it. Some people swear by audiobooks. You'll find what works best!

After art school I had utterly failed to look for a job, so I went back home & got stuck in retail for a few years. I managed to get a temp position in graphic design at a science lab, though, and proceeded to CLING BY MY FINGERNAILS until I got fulltime & eventually salaried. Been there 10 years.

Further lore: two colleges accepted my application: an art school and a state school. The state school accepted me into their honors program but wouldn't show me the dorm when I visited, consistently spelled my name wrong, and their art program just didn't seem high caliber. Art school it was!
