Unfortunately most Americans don't understand how the law works. There's more ways to change laws/constitution than voting and passing stuff. If they can convince the average person of what they're trying to, they don't need the law. Send it to the controlled supreme court to decide limitations.

It's also why they're going overboard with their messaging. Alex was carrying as allowed in the constitution, and no one wants to say it: he had every right to use it by the constitution.
