It's not a very exciting origin, but I bought it from my local rock and gem shop! I grabbed a couple containers of amethyst and sodalite stones when I picked up my rock tumbler. I believe they are sourced locally (BC, Canada) but can't confirm.

Do you ever get these fellows? Around here they are called whiskey jacks. Corvids that, even wild, will fly down and feed from your hand. They are so sweet!

Maybe all we needed was weeks of infighting and trade drama to finally start clicking? Or maybe we will see the return of our familiar 3rd Period Canucks in a few minutes?

In my effort to depoliticize my feed, I feel like I've blocked about 95% of bsky content and I'm in a lonely little hobby space with like 10 other rock/crow enjoyers. All that to say, yeah man. Right on.

You're part of this world, and that alone is wondrous. I'm challenging myself to be pro-goodness rather than anti-badness. To foster calm and comfort instead of irritability and anger. It's very much a work in progress.

Despite every serious, real, and valid problem in the world, art is still art. The world is a beautiful place. I wish for anyone struggling to see beauty enhanced in its contrast to the despair. Not to see it tarnished by ugliness.

Each of those feelings are valid and real and understandable. It's an issue of saturation. If you can't make art anymore because of the current everything, they have won. If all you can do is dreadpost and doomscroll, you've succumbed to their cynicism.
