The label is intended to label your profile, not the individual images you post. So appealing for a lesser-severe profile label is usually honored.

I got labelled with it as well, which might limit your account's visibility to people that block the tag.
One way to get around it is by making an appeal and suggest your account better fits the "Sexually Suggestive (Cartoon)" label, which a lot less people block. It took a while but worked for me.
