At least in the past, you still felt more powerful as you increased in power level, and you were capable of matching the level of enemies in endgame content to make it less bullet-spongy. Now the power delta makes it so you feel weak no matter how powerful you become. It’s really tragic.

So I now find myself in a weird spot where I’ve finished the story, but I don’t feel any desire to continue the grind because it feels like there’s no point. I’m not sure if I even want to go back and do old dungeons or raids that I love, because everything feels worse to fight against. End of rant.

The portal has a lot of promise for introducing new players to different parts of the game, but when a majority of it is locked behind a power grind and you don’t feel any more powerful afterward in any content, it just feels bad for those of us who don’t have more than 20 hours per week to play.

Old dungeons literally have triumphs associated with soloing the content, but now that you can’t over level the content and your power delta is guaranteed to be at -10, what used to be a fun challenge to complete if you invested the time to become powerful has now become a bullet-sponge slog.

The grind for power levels has always been a driving force in Destiny, but when you create a grind for levels and you don’t feel the payoff of actually being more powerful at higher tiers, due to everything having a power delta that makes you weak, it just feels like your time is being disrespected.
