Anyways, it made me really appreciate my pokemon experience. I wouldn't be where I am today without it. And I feel like it would have been a much more isolating experience in North America, rather than a social one.

And it was quite common for kids wanting to trade or battle to take a bus or a train to the center after school on their own and mix with the teenagers at a game shop. Also a good place to start trading cards and learning card games.
