Had a blast this past weekend hosting book club for the first time. Not pictured is the curry and rice dish along with my own vanilla lavender Lemon bars. Geeked out over the book we read with some fun science activities to boot!!

This past weekend I got to support a friend at their new job in the restaurant they now work at as well as make a nice simple salad with chicken and soup on Sunday. So far the new year is going good.

Drove down for the family festivities, but before it could happen had to take a walk on another 70 degree day!! And as is tradition watching the classic christmas movies with them all. It’s always amazing to see how different movies can hit as one experiences life more.

Had a wonderful and wild day yesterday. Between fixing a fence, presents being given, and bar hopping it was a fantastic way to celebrate one’s birthday.

Had a lovely time doing it like the British do with some afternoon tea and snacks. Atmosphere was great and the live piano music was a nice treat.
