My mother loved the Christmas Cake song. She said it reminded her of her dad who unironically loved Christmas fruit cake. Now that my mom is no longer with us, it’s a bittersweet memory, but I love the song still.

Also, I now like Sun and Moon enough to put up this poster that I think I got as a preorder bonus lololol

This is now the fourth place I’ve hung it up. I mean I’m an adult with a full time job so I could buy a real Simpsons poster whenever I want. But I must keep this one XD

(I did buy the results and I remember wishing I had put myself as a boy so I would have gotten female love matches LOL)

This was the year when I first really got into the Simpsons, and I remarked to a classmate that I would have liked to take the poster home and she ripped it down from the wall right then and there and I’ve had it ever since lmao

Some context: way back in 2007 when I was in grade 11, my school did this iFlurtz thing as a fundraiser, you filled in a questionnaire and then a few weeks later you paid for your results that said who your best “love matches” were. Presumably paying for the results is where the charity gets money.

I bought this game because I found out you can use the “Hey You, Pikachu” microphone to announce stops to the passengers. Last time I tried to play I couldn’t read enough Japanese to figure it out but it was such a cool idea 😭😭😭

Anyway if anybody read this and thought it was interesting, let me know and perhaps I will post (and subsequently infodump) more of my collection LOL

Also one of the hobby stores I like gives me piles of Japanese bulk singles to look through XD and lets me know if he gets in something like Korean or Chinese (he was the one who sold me the authentic Italian cards)

Sometimes I buy singles of Shiny Vault or chase cards if they’re not too expensive. I also look for singles of Pokémon that are my favourites (e.g. Meowth, Frillish, and I think I have just about every Cramorant card on the market by this point XD)

And within the modern sets, I just buy em for the fun of collecting!! The excitement of the randomness of packs! I’m really interested in the Shiny Vault as well.

I also want to collect cards from the Holon region, I think the lore behind the region and the Delta Species is so cool, but they are so scarce and often expensive lol. I’ll be like “how much is that Charmander!” and it’s like $80 🙄 but I am proud of the small collection I’ve gathered so far 😎
