"The whole motion of disruption is adolescent: it assumes that after the teenagers make a mess, the adults will come and clean it.

But there are no adults, we own this mess"

@timothysnyder.bsky.social I loved this line from On Tyranny. It's time to take ownership!

My representative, Lauren Boebert, is supporting the impeachment of a judge advocating for due process (Judge James Boasberg), approved a voter suppression bill (HR 8281), and is suggesting DC should be renamed District of America.

I'm beyond embarrassed.

This administration would have us believe the government is some unfeeling machine meant to grind away at our livelihoods, when in reality that's what they want to turn it into.

It can and should be a human institution meant to lift our humanity. Let's make it work for us all, not just the wealthy.

I had the privilege of spectating the AOC and Bernie rally on Friday and Denver - it was a much needed dose of optimism. It's been easy to feel despair, but the energy of 34,000 neighbors who are ready for change was uplifting.

I love my Colorado brethren!

@anneapplebaum.bsky.social I recently read through "Autocracy, Inc." It was an insightful work on how autocratic regimes have built a network of coalitions to lift up their power and undermine democratic movements.

I've taken our Democracy for granted. It's not a given, we must work to preserve it.

A photojournalist from Time captures the dehumanizing treatment of those deported to El Salvador without any due process. The road to authoritarianism is paved with actions like these.

This is plain evil.

Hello Blue Sky!

A few years ago, I swore off social media. While that was beneficial for my well-being, I feel compelled to build connections both locally and online in solidarity against the current political climate.

I'm looking forward to sharing, learning, and growing with all the folks here!
