Spotted this spotted eagle ray at the edge of Keawakapu Beach reef yesterday. This small area has a bounty of riches and is easy in-and-out of the water, plus it's really close to my house for when I need a quick fix :)

The Sewing Hui is always up to something fun! Yesterday, we sorted thru a bunch of donated clothing; some saved for costumes, others donated to Secondhand Heaven and others will be shredded by volunteers at Malama Maui Nui in Pu'unene. We also stuffed two giant bears which will go to local keiki.

Makena Surf has a small parking lot and most people come here to snorkel off a boat anyway. This is one of many "turtle towns" on the south and west shores of our gorgeous island. Yesterday there was just the one little honu getting his back scrubbed by some volunteer fish and mugging for my camera.

Rock on.

Maui is full of beauty spots like these. So grateful to be here!
