Noem didn’t just lie, she evadedlegitimate direct evidence & hurled insults. The Republicans with little positive progress to show are in their offensive stance of blaming immigrants for everything.

So Sorry. This is Politico’s top article today, not PBS.

So, so, true to life.

He kept struggling to think of a way to deflect, but found no place, no members, no organizational structure that he could name or wave at. Being under oath can make it hard for some to lie. Others, like Noem, Bondi, & Kennedy deflect by more ably pretending to answer a question by what aboutism…

No more proof needed, but this sick Heritage stuff.

One of the hallmarks of our democracy is the right to a jury trial by your peers in adjudicating guilt versus innocence.

It is a good sign that at the level of New York citizens our system of trial-based Justice is holding.

There are so many in and in cahoots with this administration that it’s hard for me to single out one.

Still, Thiel would be at the top of my list of most under-rated enemies of our democracy.

Well, damn. They had some foresight in getting a warrant of some kind.

Still, Trump in his press conference, when asked “why,” the seizure, gave no rationale for it even as he confirmed it. That is yet another bone-headed play for a commander in chief. There are too many to even list.

Wow, that’s a lot of follow-up questions. A real Dooci to coin a phrase.

Wish we could believe this admin when it makes accusations about immigrants.

What do you call a government when a strong majority are disinclined to believe it?

Is it tottering or is it tyrannical, or both?

Does anyone know a more technical term for this state of affairs, w/o assuming causality?
December 11, 2025 at 7:11 PM
I wish we could believe the admin, but we cannot, it has so often been found to be lying in the past (especially on this Abrego case). It just is not credible. That is the bigger picture.

What kind of government do you call it that has the majority of its citizens inclined to disbelieve it?

We all are awaiting information. This apparent piracy is not something easily justified.

Wish we had a trustworthy administration rather than a self-dealing self serving one.

Surely this is an AI fake?

Okay, this is the kind of thing we might expect to be found corroborated in the Epstein files.

That would explain why they remain hidden.

Nonetheless, we need the evidence laid out fully. Journalists will need sources and documents.

These are not the files we are looking for.

This has been game of distraction from the full trove of FBI files.

Horrid. The white Christian nationalists and other misogynists Are a blight on our moral landscape.

The government should be an instrument in the development of a flourishing society where education, arts, economic activity, and other individual and collective goods can be pursued in tandem.

Thank you for reminding us. It is an inspiring document that still has relevance to how we move forward to advancing humanitarian causes.
