I mean isn't this the general problem with people who bet though? They're possessed of the belief that either they have the unique ability to beat the market OR that the next one will go their way regardless? If it's a two-way bet then even if it is rigged, an obsessed gambler will take the risk.

"exceptionally dumb" is a really accurate way of describing a lot of people on this site who think they have a really firm grip on being politically savvy actually. Just wildly uninformed vibe posting.

Oh man that sucks. I’ve seen him give individual people good advice and even saw one where he sounded very liberal about a young religious woman who was being told by her family that she shouldn’t have an income because she’s a woman. Bummer to hear that was an anomaly:/

Why is this guy awful? He comes up on my feed sometimes on other social media but he just seems to give financial retirement advice? I don’t know who he is?

The analog clock thing is true for my hs kids but it’s been true the whole time I’ve been a teacher (25 years). They learn it still they just never get to practice it. Not losing sleep over this.

When I was a kid I associated these with rich people’s houses for some reason and now as an adult I literally don’t know what to make of them.
