All that's left is torquing everything down and brake fluid!

The fluid I'm using is MOTUL 600.

Brake fluid boiling causing brake fade is generally one of the most notorious failure points in motorsports. This racing brake fluid is designed to have a higher boiling point than your average DOT 4

The rear brake caliper has this weird convoluded ass system where a little allen acrew thing is what designates how far the brake piston goes in and out

I honestly don't know why it's done this way, but fuck

Basically turn it in till the brakes lock up, then back ot out a quarter rotation

For the pads, I decided to go with Hawk HPS brake pads!

Great for street and auto X use, especially for a light NA Miata

One thing I do a little differently is I tend to put the brake grease on the caliper rather than the backing of the brake pad. I find it makes less of a mess

The same method was used for the fronts

Only difference being that the brake bracket needed to be bolted on after the rotor was installed

I got some Brembo brake rotors for this build

I used high temp grease on the hub to avoid both rust build up and to help with noise

Brake rotors will be shipped with a coating of oil on them to stop rust. It's important to hit the rotor with brake clean to get the oil off of it
