If you support “universal healthcare” but oppose Medicare for All, what you’re really supporting is a system that chains people to their employers, is endlessly vulnerable to sabotage, and leaves healthcare at the mercy of Wall Street’s insatiable thirst for profit.

After the president fought to withhold food from Americans, and with federal workers going unpaid for a month, Democrats should have raised the stakes, not lowered them. Patching a broken healthcare system alone is not worth deepening food and financial insecurity across the country.

If Michael Bennet really wants to show he’s for the people and not the political machine, he should tell voters who he’d appoint to fill his Senate seat if he wins.
