Yeah. But there's corrosion on the motherboard near the serial port for the monitor, so it's a garbled signal. This is the error code screen after it runs diagnostics. (The repair guy got to the error code screen without this mess because you can use a different port with the right cable)

ACK I just cracked the bottom bezel of my laptop screen when I was trying to clean out crumbs and debris with a q-tip. I never touch the thing so I just assumed it was made of metal (but I also wouldn't have guessed a different material would crack)

While we're at it, the notebook that made me stop buying other notebooks is the Book Note. It opens flat, can be opened to 360° if you want to hold one-handed, holds up to fountain pens, and has a subtle red grid ruling. I don't go through notebooks quickly but I got two more to last me indefinitely

Apropos of nothing, but I've used this mechanical pencil, the Drehgriffel Nr. 2, since last year, and it's my favorite pencil I've ever used. It feels great, it looks great (this one is colored a handsome red-orange "Lobster"), and I love the little twist to release lead
