The first image in my new fantasy art portfolio. If we met at PAX, I probably waved this in your face =)
Pen and ink illustratrion with watercolor, with a complex border framing an image of a huge cyclops monster crouching in a cave. His arms and legs are interwoven between stalactites. Above the monster, on the surface, there is a bucolic scene of tiny people dancing and frolicing in a sunset landscsape, with a dark forest off to the left, and a distant medieval town to the right. The image has lots of detailed crosshatching. Overall, the picture has a fairytale quality.

I have bought two books published by Peow 2 recently: "Mold Mold Mold" and "Magic Mayhem Metal." Both excellent art books, beautiful, I love them dearly.

But they smell insane. What is this ink? What kind of paper is this? I have never smelled books that smell like this.

Still great tho!

Oh, and the art is a digital print of an illustration I made for a Halloween Dance party at the local improv theater (the event was cancelled, sadly).

My piece on display at The Camel through Halloween as part of their spooky/weird art show with 30~ish artists.

Handmade frame with wood, clay, hot glue cast in plumber’s putty molds, spray paint, air dry clay, highlighter ink and water in vinyl tubing, and a lil plastic skeleton.

I'm gonna try to snag one if these next time I'm in town. If my timing is good, you'll have those WHPA hardcovers, too 😃.

Sabre Games is a small flgs in Charlottesville, Virginia, and we're looking to expand our selection of indie titles, both for retail and wholesale distribution. We currently distribute for a couple of smaller companies (chiefly Leyline Press) and want to expand. #ttrpg #dnd #indiegames

When I'm tracing to transfer, I use a colored pencil or or red ballpoint pen, so I can tell which parts I've already been over.
zinesfrombelow.bsky.social
I do this a lot too! Mostly to transfer drawings from my sketchbook or printer paper to nicer paper.
I usually use tracing paper, flip it over and messily retrace with a soft/dark pencil, so i don't have to coat the whole thing in graphite.

Maybe you should stop flossing, that'll get their attention. It really pisses them off!!

To be considered a megadungeon, an underground maze must include one really really really big room for hexcrawling purposes. Dungeon architects often ignore this important requirement.

Hell yeah!! Excited to get that mail 😃

I dunno if I've ever really listened to Devo, besides Whip It, and I'm 37. That's a weird oversight.
zinesfrombelow.bsky.social
I was listening to the Vintage RPG podcast today, which in turn led me into listening to DEVO, My Chemical Romance, and The Weird Lord Slough Feg (because I also listened to their old Erol Otus interview, and he did an album cover).
Devo and MCR are definitely outside my normal wheelhouse.

Okay, not everything's analog. Here's a procreate timelapse of me messing around with the cover sketch.
zinesfrombelow.bsky.social
or my cover I made an acrylic painting--it is very unfinished, and I may come back to it. But with the the time constraints of the jam, I messed around in photoshop and got it lookin' good.
zinesfrombelow.bsky.social
Here are a bunch of process sketches/work from the creation of my Appendix N. Jam entry. I like to do things analog!

#AppendixNJam #AppxN #osr
Pencil sketch for the cover of Twisting Old Wounds, an adventure module made as an entry to the Appendix N. Jam. Sketchbook page with black and white pen drawings of molemen, serpentine furred beats, and a few thumbnail ideas for the cover of Twisting Old Wounds, an entry for the Appendix N. Jam. A printed out WIP layout of a dungeon adventure, with cross-outs and edits, as wel as ballpoint pen drawings of creatures, scribbled notes, and a map of 7 caverns chambers labeled as various 'organs.' An unfinished, washy acrylic painting of a serpentine dragon with googly eyes on stalks snarling at a fancy swordsman crouched on it's curling bulk, poised to pierce it's hideous hide it with a slender silver sword. Orange, blue and grey dominate the moody painting.

I read some adventures and a bestiary from @lemosfran.bsky.social for other systems and they were pure gold! Very creative, funny, and great art!

I agree. Had to pick up a copy of this, and it's great. I haven't painted or kitbashed minis much at all, but I collect little bits and think about it a lot. Mold³ and their contemporaries like SlugWizard and Gardens of Hectate, all doing crazily inspiring stuff.

The @peow.bsky.social crew killed it with their new artbook of tabletop conversions, kitbashes, and sculptures by Nick Borelli (MoldMoldMold), and a limited number of Borelli originals made to celebrate the book are still available! Super inspiring stuff, and so glad to have snagged one: peow.studio

I really like FAR. More great work by @n8hps.bsky.social . Would definitely run/play this.

Cover artwork by Nate Treme for his ttrpg FAR, Fantastic Adventure Rules, on a home-printed zine copy.
The illustration shows two giant d6s sitting in a cartoon landscape of trees and plants, with some kind of high-tech structure nearby. A cat peeks out of a pip on the upper d6, a figure peers out of the tech-tower's window. Foliage grows out of a broken-down car.
