It shows a very dark picture of the japanese colonial rule especially the experiences the "army" led and I was surprised at how good the actors were at speaking japanese (because the main story is about the experiences led by the japanese colonial forces in Gyeongseong and relate back to Manchuria)

It is set during colonial japanese rule and at first I was surprised because I was like why are you speaking japanese (I was happy to recognize a language I practiced) and then I searched more about it and learn about the dark side of colonial japan

In France it is slowly getting like in Asia, even stressier, but everyone gets into college and when we see the reaction to gaokao or the Korean entrance exam it seems really exaggerated like for the baccalaureate we study and some just cram it and pass...

So basically it really is superficial but in some anime we can feel the academic pressure (random example is light yagami preparing for college entrance exam) but it still is very rare.

And from the little I got the school system seem to be very similar but what was really surprising to me was how strict it was in Japan and Korea (for china idk) but the video doesn't show the background stress that comes with coming to school.

I don't know if its related but I think this emergence of different influenced is mainly market-oriented and for this specific purpose like reggaeton is getting famous and its Swiftly getting famous in Korea because it's famous worldwide.
