Today @nytimes.com completed its conversion to a Trump apologist. Sad and depressing to see, but now pretty undeniable.

@theguardian.com reports on thousands of "good trouble" rallies, near the top of the page. And @nytimes.com? Literally does not mention these rallies. More Trumpian every day.

Hate to say it, but there's really no way around it: @nytimes.com coverage of @landericus.bsky.social it pure, unadulterated racism and poor reporting. The nadir of a once proud publication.

I just contacted ActBlue to get them to stop selling my phone #, since I am now getting 30 to 40 unwanted texts from Democratic fundraisers. They sent me to a site called JustAnswer, which automatically charged me $55 sub fee without asking. ActBlue seems to suck!

The evil made possible by the amoral Mitch McConnell continues to degrade our lives. He is truly one of the worst human beings ever to live.

I have reluctantly decided to stop giving any donations to any politician or political organization. I usually do so frequently, but now every time I do so, I get an endless storm of texts soliciting funds from seemingly every other person in that political party. So stupid.

Headline on digital front page or The Guardian: "Bernie Sanders in LA draws thousands to protest Trump." @nytimes? No mention at all, as if it never happened. WTF is wrong with @nytimes these days?

So in discussing his new tariffs, the Orange Menace revealed what may just the ultimate goal of his oligarch backers: getting rid of income taxes.

NOW is it finally time for @nytimes.com to apologize for their endless "but her emails!" stories?
March 25, 2025 at 6:21 PM
So the @theatlantic.com, which I usually admire, is giving @nytimes.com a run for its money in bad headlines, or at least subheds. Today's example, a subhed: "Plant-based eating has lost its appeal." Wildly exaggerated, basically untrue, and seemingly pitched to appeal to meat-centricTrump-ites.

@nytimes.com continues to dominate the field in worst, most misleading headlines. Today, "For Russia, Trump Has a Lot to Offer" -- translation: Russia is only pretending to want ceasefire in Ukraine. Who writes these things?

Where is the American Bar Association? Why are they not condemning Trump's attacks on law firms he does not like? If they don't act now, they lose all legitimacy and therefore open themselves to later attacks by Trump.

Can some explain while the D.C. police, who report to the Mayor, allowed Musks' arrogant little bot-boys to enter the building and then kicked out the legal occupants? Does the Mayor support this illegality?

Schumer has to go. He is outdated, pathetically inept, and presents a face of the Democratic Party that is antithetical to what the party should be doing. Get him out!

Anyone else have trouble making donations to ActBlue? I have checked to make sure the credit card is correct (it is) and to be sure I filled in all the blanks (I did) and it just spins forever (10 minutes the last time) saying "Almost Done," etc, but actually makes the charge. .

Maine voters: Remember, when you go to vote, that Susan Collins is as despicable as any other MAGA politician -- voted not only for Kavanaugh, but for Tulsi Gabbard, after some phony virtue posturing in both cases.

Eight Democratic senators voted for a climate denier who literally says his motto is "drill, baby, drill" for Energy Secretary. WTF?? This party is a wreck. Primary them all.

And of course #nytimes has, FOR THE SECOND DAY IN A ROW, published in a prominent location an interview with Steve Bannon. They truly have no principles left at all.
January 31, 2025 at 10:21 PM
After decades of loyalty, I am abandoning @nytimes.com political coverage in favor of @theguardian.com, which does not normalize Trump and ignore alternative voices as @nytimes consistently does.
January 25, 2025 at 6:04 PM
OK, I promise I’ll stop, but … most prominent headline in @theguardian.com today: “Helspeth endorsed extreme Christian doctrine in podcast.” @nytimes.com ? Does not even mention it. What kind of editorial decision is that? Trumpian, you kind of have to say.
