You should check out the podcast series “13 Minutes to the Moon”. It is, bar none, the best media production of any kind that I have consumed in my life.

There’s a sizeable chunk of Saturday in that picture.

If any airline advertises those new coffee carts, that’s a hard boycott from me. Airliners are noisy enough.

Millions managed to give up smoking while flying. Everyone can give up coffee up there, too.

I don’t know what you’re hearing in the US, but in my part of the world there are deep discounts on flights to the US because no-one wants to go.

Maybe useful in about 4 years, though.

Wait’ll you try Mastodon. Way better app experience, too.

Can you cover the “most tracked” feature on the podcast? The retirement flight of RNZAF C-130H(NZ) recently had over 11,000 at one point and I wondered what the record is.

Instance is just a term for server. Your email isn’t on the same server as mine but we can email each other. Same thing. But if you have an account already that’s the hardest part done.

Just treat it like original Twitter. There are various “automatic” views, just stick to your home feed.

Apart from choosing an instance (or creating your own if you’re keen and able) it’s just like early Twitter. I even use an app based on the one I used for Twitter so it’s very familiar.

I’m just lurking for now, having found some of the aviation community I was following over *there*.

I’m very active on Mastodon. Unimpressed by the BlueSky app. In fact downright annoyed by it.

I’m only on BlueSky for some of the avgeeks I used to follow on Twitter, though it took most a year or so more than me to get here.

My life is now on Mastodon, with photography on Glass (and Flickr since forever).
