One of the absolute worst things IP cape comics have trained entire generations of people to do is see a really talented creator or creative team making original genre work that's really meaningful and sick, and then go 'Yeah, and they'd be a perfect fit for DC's Chickenman!'

All We Imagine As Light is gorgeous, joyful, and immaculately composed. The best film of a VERY strong year and an extremely exciting narrative debut from a profound talent.

Really loved The Seed of the Sacred Fig. I think the way it morphs from grounded and politically charged family drama into a more expressionistic and metaphorical thriller will jar some folks, but it was exactly my speed, to say nothing of the incredible story of its production. Excellent!
