The reason why we won’t knowingly kill bugs is the same reason we avoid divisive language. The bug doesn’t have to be a reincarnated family member thinking of that is simply a way to grow loving kindness. We are trying to grow compassion outer and inner as well as shrink unskillful behaviors.
