Quite interested in how the BBC are marketing the follow up series of The Night Manager, catering to a specific female/gay male appreciation of Tom Hiddleston in a MMF scenario… Look at Tom and Diego Calva touching each other - this is what our lusty dreams are made of. 😈🥵

We still don’t have running water. 🤬😤😠
The building I live in has been without running mains water for almost 3 days. Thames Water delivered us two pallets of emergency bottled water last night - to drink, wash, use in toilet etc. My patience in their inability to fix the issue is running out…

I’m really not into podcasts given the majority of them are two blokes chatting (🥱), but have recently fallen for audio dramas: they’re perfect bite-size thrills in the podcast format 🫣😍 Havoc Town and Bridgewater are my two current discoveries, both excellent listening, should anyone want a rec.

Going through some old paperwork, I found this (exceedingly crap) 2009 sketch I did to pitch a cover idea to my publishers for my 2nd book. I wanted the focus to be on the man - to have him as the sex object, not the woman, unlike similar memoirs (inc my 1st book). See next pic…

Took me 6 hours to do* my hair today; I deserve an award.

* wash x 2, Henna dye 3 hrs, hair mask, scalp massage, condition + wet comb, rinse, plop, curl cream, curl gel, curling brush, scrunch, hover diffuse, curl diffuse, serum, diffuse again, scrunch out the curl cast, die from exhaustion.

Discovered the tree next door overhangs into our garden… Finders keepers etc. Yum.

I’m very stressed at the moment and said to a friend, ‘I’m going to switch off, meditate and go for a run - then I’ll calm down’, but then I remembered I can’t run* and I sobbed a bit. I’m so desperate to, it’s killing me. *Maybe in the autumn, maybe later; my hip recovery is slow. 😭

Better late than never - my annual #Pesach #Passover baking: cinnamon balls, coconut pyramids, almond macaroons, made using my late grandfather’s recipes. 🙏🏼💜✡️ And here’s why I bake them: www.patreon.com/posts/cinnam...

Bursts of colour, I’m full of joy; it’s a delight to see these - planted the day before my hip surgery in November - finally flower in the garden. Their slow growth, alongside my recovery, a reminder to keep pushing through the dark months: things will always get brighter. 🌸🌼🪻

I suspect that the majority of people saying they find Severance too slow or that it’s boring have limited attention spans and are unable to stop scrolling on their phone while they watch. Every frame is a multitude of detail, story, clues; it’s their loss if they don’t see that.

It’s a small thing, but: just had my first haircut in almost 6 months and it’s the first time I’ve been ‘out’ out (not including physio or rehab) since my hip surgery 3 months ago. Felt so weird - but good! - to be amongst normal people (not doctors or medical specialists) again.

Absolutely no spoilers from me, ever, but Season 2 Episode 4 of #Severance: OH MY FUCKING GOD! This isn’t telly, this is top-level goddamn brilliance in filmmaking. Absolutely incredible. Bloody hell.

I don’t think I’ve ever been as obsessed with a TV show as I am with #Severance. I used to videotape Twin Peaks every week and watch it repeatedly, but Severance is on my mind 24/7: the writing, acting, cinematography, prod & sound design, directing - it’s filling my dreams, man.

Okay, someone convince me why I should move over here.

It's been over a year since I joined - guess I should give this thing a go, huh?
