I remember visiting the US as a kid - after America had smoking bans but before the UK did - and enjoying you could actually taste your food and didn't come home feeling sick and gross. Then going back to the UK's restaurants and pubs with "smoking areas" and realizing again how dreadful it was.

Seems like they are doing that all by themselves!

Perhaps this just happened to be the next straw to land on the camel's back, and it could have been anything?

Bottom line, without deploying massive renewables, the grid will collapse. Fundamentals > fundamentalists.

Ironic that they're doing their jobs better when they're off duty.

Costa has it right, let's see what else we can get him to do! What if we paint a wind turbine gold? Rename heat pumps "heat Trumps"? Build a solar farm in the shape of his neck vagina?

Show him the Barcelona superblocks
President Trump, apparently enamored by the pint-sized Kei cars he saw during his recent trip to Japan, has paved the way for them to be made and sold in the US despite concerns

Unlike the original name, it's not chiseled into the stone. Whoever put it up appears to have designed it to come off easily.

Show him a single stair affordable housing unit and tell him it's 250 ballrooms stacked up into one mega ballroom, the largest ever.

Oh my God that sounds absolutely terrifying, I hope you are OK. And that you have the appropriate drink to help you recover (and it isn't on the ceiling)

Well done this man for confronting her. No European hotel or restaurant or shop should be open to Putin's relatives (unless they are against him too); no property should be sold to them; they should not be permitted to cross into European countries.

For decades, London lagged behind its European peers in making cycling a safe, attractive, and mainstream mode of transport. But a remarkable shift is now underway. From Camden to Croydon, the capital is finally shedding its car-centric reputation and embracing pedal power at an unprecedented pace.🔚

Yes it does seem a bit optimistic to me. Part of the problem is that even if the numbers are good - say, thanks to lower-level folks doing their jobs in a tough situation - nobody TRUSTS them any more, and that kind of uncertainty is a killer for investment, hiring, etc.

I see. Very helpful, thank you.

If I may ask a follow-up: is there a mechanism to discuss classified info if necessary to get to the truth? Like if it's closed doors and all present have the clearance, or in a SCIF or something?
