Finally got my ray tracer to the point where I could simulate true color images of black holes! These are test images I made today. They're not super realistic yet (e.g. the camera essentially sitting on a magic carpet), but still pretty cool. Each of these images took about 4 minutes to generate.

Some test images from a general relativistic ray tracer I'm working on (for fun mostly). True-ish color. 5778K rectangular prism viewed from near the base at 0c, 0.5c, and -0.5c. Took ~15 min to make each.

Some pictures from a general relativistic ray tracer I've been working on. It's horribly unoptimized and therefore very slow, so these pictures are all very pixelated (they took about 2 minutes each).
