This is good advice thanks. I think I was just getting it twisted in my head and confusing myself

In the elbow joints clip the pegs all the way back and use a small piece of green stuff to house the magnets. I would say a 2x1 magnet is strong enough to hold the entire arm. Also make sure you mag the pegs before assembling the entire arm or it will be nearly impossible
