they really just mean llm and image generation ai. and thats fair. but there are other times where it seems semantics are forgotten and folks come out swinging calling such innocuous, silly, stupid things as ai chatsites immoral or dubious

dubiously fair usage. thats a legitimate concern. but is it so necessary to lump in all users with cheap corporations and prompttypers eager to substitute art for slop? it rather reminds me of too-broad condemnations of "ai" as some vague bogeyman concept. usually when you ask the people who do that

a distinction needs to be made in public discourse between usage of ai—i'll call them ai *toys*—for fun private, harmless usage compared to using it to supplement artist jobs and real, actually thoughtfully conceptualized art.
