A new huge update to Flipside is out! This includes the first instance of RPG mode, where you can collect cards and duel NPCs, as well as doubling the total number of cards in the game, plus a ton of miscellaneous improvements.

I have a deck selection menu up and running. You can choose what deck to use in duels as well as get a quick look at the card list of any deck you click on the left side. You can also clone decks, but I don't have deck editing ready yet for it to matter. That's up next!

I'm brand new to pixel art but Ive been having a lot of fun making some placeholder assets for the overworld. Got a lot of work done today. Coded in the first doors and enterable buildings, and finished the sprites for a construction worker, traffic cone, and excavator. It's fun stuff.

Got a 4-player mode working in my game as well as a draft of the first little city region from story mode laid out with some placeholder tilesets. Been really happy with progress lately.

If anything these last 2 weeks have made me confident I have what it takes to be a full-time game developer. The pressure to get this demo out has lead me to spending about 48 hours coding it in the last6 days. But it's worth it cause WE HAVE MULTIPLAYER WORKING** NOW! (** some bugs)

Little idea I'm proud of for my game: Instead of requiring an extra click to make players choose if the want to summon a creature face-up or face-down, I made it so you just click the top or bottom half of the card slot to pick, with a little reminder graphic that lights up when you mouse-over it.

I'm so exhausted but I've been cooking so much on my personal project. I got this far just in 6 days when I'd never worked in 3D before. I'm excited to see what it looks like after a month. If mutuals are interested in playtesting this TCG I've designed later when it's more complete, let me know.
