It is now six days that Odie has been missing and it’s killing me. He broke out of an improperly secured carrier when I picked him up from the vet. No luck with the live trap (two opossums and a different cat). Please keep your fingers crossed that he makes it home (the vet is a 6 mile rural drive).

No clue why companies are leaning so hard into to GenAI. If a human were hired and experienced “hallucinations” which resulted in the creation of completely fictitious content with bogus citations, they were be fired in a heartbeat, not heavily invested in.

I will say this: trump leaning into AI to create propaganda (albeit bad propaganda) is perhaps the biggest argument to regulate the absolute FUCK out of AI tech, including putting harsh anti-deep fake laws on the books (this has always been one of my biggest concern for unregulated AI).
