Top down control is extractive for the benefit of few at the detriment of many. Progress and society has been based largely on this leaning into top down control. Bottom up is stronger and more sustainable. Somehow we find ourselves looted by billionaires. Kicking proverbial cans down empty streets.

ZymaPro. Everything is the same user name across platforms. I started with gaming but things are kinda sliding hard into tech science communication with a humungous side of autism advocacy. Found out I was playing on hard mode all this time.

I wasted too much time and money on stuff I didn't need hoping for business that would never come. I've finally read stuff on where I believe it really matters. Video content, build an audience, so large it makes its own community, begs for products or services you're already making content about.

I think any "you need it for your business" slaps like "there's gold in them thar hills... you'll need this pickaxe you need to buy from me, wheel barrel, 100' rope, cast iron kitchen wares, a blanket..." lol Any one platform you successfully grow will be the jumping off point for "extras."

The most sustainable activism is quiet, joyful, celebratory. Not hate fueled. I shifted my activism to identifying what IS working in the world and aiming at it ... instead of what's wrong with the world and avoiding it. :)

I jumped off Meta products a long time ago. It helps to be focused on only one or two platforms as a time as each has it's quirks and style. I'm only on TikTok, YouTube, and BlueSky now but making all videos on TikTok and reposting.
