Christ, my stress over my boy Hotaru has been getting pretty bad lately. Him being 12 soon, getting super cuddly randomly, and vomiting most of his food up this week has me getting fairly scared.
I don't want to lose him, at least not before I can cremate and keep him with me.

It's a bit slumped too because the core on the 2nd layer was raw, so it had to be gutted and it ripped part of its own top off. BUT we got revenge by stuffing it full of whole Maraschino cherries so they spill out when cut.

My boyfriend and I made a Maraschino cherry cake for his mom's birthday.

For non-Americans that don't know what a Payday bar is, it's literally just salted roasted peanuts stuck to a caramel nougat. Really nice balance between salty and sweet.
Fun fact, it's named Payday because it was invented on the payday of the factory, and they didn't know what to name it. 😅
