Four years ago today. Spending time with Winky the Pirate Girl, known as "the little girl" at the time. We weren't in a good position to adopt a second cat. I desperately wanted her but I also wanted her to be safe and arranged for a friend in Manhattan to take her in. Winky had other ideas.

Four years ago today (part 1): Last outdoor playdate with the little girl before she found a home. A friend of mine was going to adopt her later that week.

Four Years Ago Today (part 2): That night Sarah opened the front door and the little cat ran inside the house. Our kid made the decision, "Let's try it and see how it goes". I called my friend who was going to adopt her and explained and she gave us her blessing. Winky's been ours since.
