Unfortunately, he only resigned from the #118Congress and not the #119Congress which he also got elected to on November 5th.

He resigned from the #118Congress ahead of the releasing the Ethics Committee Report to make way for the appointment to Attorney General. Well, and not to have the Report revealed. Now that he has withdrawn his name, wasn’t he elected already to the #119Congress? Just a thought.
