when I was like 12, my saxophone teacher was like "you got transcribe some jazz, go to the library and check out records, dub them to tape and get to work". Two weeks later I brought my tapes in and he had to laughingly explain to me I had dubbed 33&1/3rpm at like 45rpm or whatever
