Honored to present at inaugural postdoc talks at @aaas.org Meeting 2025 in Boston!
Met Prof. Phil Robertson, soil science guru, & Prof. Sixue Chen, a top plant biologist.
Great workshops, visited MIT & Science Museum, and reconnected with @ccst.us team.
Looking forward to more learnings.

Join this adorable activist dog we met at #AAASmtg in #EvidenceBasedOutrage

Demand Congress do everything in their power to end DOGE, stop all unconstitutional & illegal activity by the Trump admin, and force the exec branch to respect the separation of powers.

Thank you! Please talk to #AAASmtg for advice about how to adequately host a conference that meets this extraordinary moment. They weren't perfect, but I am sure you can learn from them. It cannot be business as usual at #AERA2025.

Was at #AAASmtg last weekend and saw a fair to good job meeting this moment. The individual presentations included references to no-longer available data sets and funding as needed, while multiple panels seemed (re?)crafted to speak to our new reality. www.statnews.com/2025/02/17/a...

This is the recommended method for getting our legislators’ attention. Heard very much the same thing from the recent #AAASmtg in Boston. Meet your representatives in person, in groups, and explain to them , with facts and data, the ramifications of these cuts.
A group of us went to our Senators' regional offices this morning, met with the Regional Directors. They were engaged and know the importance of research (in general terms). However, they did not seem to know about what is going on currently (re: F&A). If you can make a similar trip - please do.

Days 2 and 3 of #AAASmtg were so action-packed I only now got a chance to post about them! More insightful and inspiring conversations about the state and future of energy policy and scicomm. And many new friends made, as well as finally meeting longtime internet friend @neurosciallgire.bsky.social!

my take on #aaasmtg this weekend, where everyone was grappling w/ how to discuss Trump 🧪

“There’s a lot of fear. There’s a lot of hesitation to explicitly name what is happening, which is an existential threat to the scientific enterprise."[email protected]
