Thanks to generous funding from the Henry Luce Foundation, we will hold a dissertation workshop on "Modernities, Mobilities, and Change" at the #AASInAsia2025 conference in Kathmandu. Graduate students are invited to apply for this opportunity by February 14.

Sociologist Pranab Kharel is a researcher at Martin Chautari, an NGO that promotes the public sphere in Nepal. The interdisciplinary and border-crossing nature of #AASInAsia2025 sessions meant that Kharel got to check out panels on China and East Asia!
