It's funny that #AC:Shadows got negative attention from Japanese conservatives for being "disrespectful" toward Shinto considering that, if anything, it's overly revenant. A surprising amount of time is dedicated to religious rituals and shrines, most of which isn't particularly interesting. /1

GoT is the better game and has the better overall aesthetic sense, but there’s something about the massive labour of something in AC:Shadows to produce as accurate a 16th century Japan as is possible in a game that means it’s being underrated a lot right now imo. Particularly as they seem to lock >

finished AC:shadows and sadly, I did not like the story itself. Naoe's personal felt lackluster and pushed aside while Yasukes was miles better. Felt like the overall story was a afterthought to the combat and graphics. That part was amazing however, no real negatives there

Now that I've somewhat recovered from the terrible Japanese election results yesterday, it's back to the #AC:Shadows grind. For a guy that only lived like a week past Nobunaga, Mitsuhide sure is elusive.
